This is the first of the two prompt table challenges I signed up for and it was a lot harder to write than I thought it would be. Considering how this pairing doesn't actually exist in the fandom, but rather is pretty much half mine and half Cath's, I wanted to do her justice as well as myself. So yeah, difficult. Extremely fun, but difficult.

I am very pleased with myself right now, so this mood theme icon is entirely fitting.

#01 - Ring

Her sneering, malicious mother had gotten white gold, an eyesore of a diamond and a loveless, empty marriage, while she ended up with a street stall mood ring and the love of her life, so who was the winner in that situation?

#02 - Hero

He didn't ride in on a white horse, produce any rope ladders, battle any dragons or conquer any castles, but that's not to say he didn't save her.

#03 - Memory

He tries to recall what his life was like before she was in it, but often-times he draws a blank, and the present is far too distracting.

#04 - Box

Moving house is generally considered to be a stressful thing, but for them it was like a trip to a theme park, and unpacking the precious few boxes they had brought between them was soon (and inevitably) abandoned in favour of christening the place in their own particular style.

#05 - Run

He didn't want to fall in love because it scared him, and she didn't take precautions against it because she believed herself incapable, but they were both in so deep by the time they realized the danger they were in, that running was entirely out of the question.

#06 - Hurricane

An everlasting existence of steady seas and calm breezes was unceremoniously interrupted by a Category 5 on the hurricane scale and he never saw it coming, but he's fucking glad it did.

#07 - Wings

Quidditch captains are supposed to shake hands before a match, not dive at one another and snog violently in front of a roaring, appreciative crowd, but they both pulled away afterwards feeling like they didn't even need broomsticks to fly.

#08 - Cold

Sometimes Andie sexually frustrates him for her own amusement, because she derives some sort of pleasure out of being a tease, and the power it gives her, and cold showers just don’t work when she follows him in there.

#09 - Red

Painful memories of a disastrous old relationship had given Amos an especial spite against the colour, but then Andie put that dress on, and he found himself loving red again.

#10 - Drink

It was a really handy thing, a drunken marriage, because in the cold light of day inebriation can serve as a pretty good excuse, and she never has to tell anyone that the sober part of her was the part that wanted it the most.

#11 - Midnight

Some nights she wakes from a dream where she's eleven years old again, breath caught in her chest and tears in her eyes, but the initial panic goes as quickly as it came, because his arms are around her, and it doesn't take long before his quiet, steady breathing has lulled her back to sleep.

#12 - Temptation

Occasionally (frequently) one's desire for the other will overtake any lingering sense of propriety and said other will be forced to drop whatever important task was at hand in order to steal away somewhere and have their clothes torn off, but if they hadn't wanted their schedule disrupted so rudely then they shouldn't have been, you know, breathing.

#13 - View

Perhaps if Amos' friends had been able to see what Andie's hand was doing under the table, the bacon and eggs they were munching on might not have seemed quite so appealing.

#14 - Music

She's a talented pianist and he's a wonderful singer, they both have problems performing for other people, but she loves his voice and he loves her playing, so really, doing it together creates quite a nice balance.

#15 - Silk

Her silky soft skin feels amazing when he holds her hand or cups her cheek in his palm, but when it's hot and clammy, when he feels goosebumps erupt beneath his wandering fingertips, when it's sticky with sweat and not quite so smooth and not quite so perfect, it feels so far beyond amazing that he can't begin to describe it.

#16 - Cover

He takes her hands in his and brings them down to her sides, disregarding her obvious embarrassment, because how is he meant to wipe her tears away if she insists upon keeping her face hidden?

#17 - Promise

She was a pretty honest girl, but keeping promises wasn't always easy; sometimes she forgot to give things back or made other plans or neglected to keep a secret, but committing to him for a lifetime - well, that one was fucking simple.

#18 - Dream

One night he dreamed (it was more like a nightmare) that she didn't love him anymore, that he kissed her and she felt nothing, that she walked out and left him; when he woke up he found her downstairs because she couldn't get to sleep, so he slammed her against the wall and made love to her right there, just to make sure that she wouldn't dare think of leaving him again, not even in his dreams.

#19 - Candle

"I'm not going to hurt you, loser," she says, her eyes glittering wickedly as she tips it backwards and forwards, threatening to spill wax all over his freshly washed bed sheets, "Shut the fuck up and take your shirt off."

#20 - Talent

The particular magical ability that she had been inexplicably blessed with meant that she could have had him years ago, if she'd really wanted to, but she wasn't that selfish, and easy, hollow victories did not much hold her interest.

#21 - Silence

Sometimes they have sex in places where they can get caught, and at times like these silence is obviously essential, but what he can do to her renders Andie lacking the self control it takes to keep her mouth shut, so perhaps that’s why Amos enjoys it so much.

#22 - Journey

There were any number of magical means of transportation available to them, but the prospect of joining the Mile High club was far too appealing.

#23 - Fire

They wanted each other, needed each other, tore at clothing and sank teeth into flesh, left scratches and bruises and kissed with a savage, possessive violence, she marked him as hers with merciless fingernails, he pounded inside her until he'd robbed her of air; all passion, all fire, all heat.

#24 - Strength

Soon after he started dating Andie, a few people told Amos that he seemed to have gained a bit more muscle in his arms, which was yet another benefit of his new favourite form of 'exercise'.

#25 - Mask

The façade that she had spent the majority of her life fabricating, perfecting and hiding behind like a frightened child, the façade that she so depended on, was broken through in a fleeting moment, with nothing more than a sentence, and he didn't even have to try.

#26 - Ice

Her hands were freezing, which made for a slightly uncomfortable experience, but he would have cut his tongue out before he asked her to stop.

#27 - Fall

They didn't fall in love, they jumped.

#28 - Forgotten

If you ask him about it, Amos will insist that he does intend to stop forgetting that other people exist as soon as she enters the room, he just hasn't remembered to do it yet.

#29 - Dance

”Angie, babe, why is there a pole in the middle of our bedroom?”

#30 - Body

Getting him naked was like her own personal Disneyland, she never knew what part to explore first.

#31 - Sacred

Woe betide anyone else who dares call her Angie, only he has that right.

#32 - Farewells

Goodbyes are a problem for Andie and Amos; their reluctance to part and seemingly innocent kisses will inevitably lead to sex, and people wonder why they’re perpetually late for everything.

#33 - World

Their break-up, if it could even be called a break-up; more like an argument with no clear conclusion, lasted for all of three days, and none of their friends were remotely concerned (safe in the knowledge that they'd get back together, no other option was even believable), but to them it was akin to an early apocalypse.

#34 - Formal

At the funeral of a distant, unknown uncle, Druella warned all three of her daughters against any inappropriate behaviour, a rule which Andie and Amos broke after approximately twenty minutes in a disused confessional.

#35 - Fever

He likes to keep her in his bed when she's ill, the one place where he can assure she's kept safe and well rested, but this often leads to him catching whatever she's got, and well meaning kisses aren't exactly the best thing for a temperature.

#36 - Laugh

She hates it when she has to pretend to laugh at a guy's lame jokes and downright refuses to do it, but she never has to with Amos, although she doesn't know if it's because he's naturally funny, or if being around him just leaves her constantly giddy.

#37 - Lies

In the interest in keeping up the reputation she had amongst her peers as the school's resident tough cookie, she easily could have insisted that he wasn't the centre of her world, that she didn't love him a little too much, that losing him wouldn't have killed something vital, but pride could be damned, she wasn't a liar.

#38 - Forever

Sometimes Andie will say something in passing, without giving it much consideration, like suggest a holiday destination for next summer or ask his opinion on a particular baby name, and it reminds him that she's in this for keeps, and that's the best feeling in the world.

#39 - Overwhelmed

He has the most beautiful eyes she's ever seen, (a bright, startling shade of azure blue that makes people look twice) they lock right into hers when he's making love to her and the sheer intensity of feeling they inspire can make her want to cry.

#40 - Whisper

Most of the more intimate, precious, and cherished words that ever left her lips were said in a whisper, because the things she had to tell him weren't for others to hear, not friends, not enemies, not inanimate things, but for him; all for him.

#41 - Wait

It wasn't her choice to wait for him to notice her, especially since there were tens of young men who were all too willing to replace him as He Who Had Caught Andie Black's Eye, but she never did have much choice where Amos was concerned.

#42 - Talk

When it came to telling Andie how he felt about her, Amos was pretty damn good, but he was far, far better at showing.

#43 - Search

Amos had never heard the rule that strip searches are meant to end when you’ve found what you’re looking for, but then again, neither had the detainee.

#44 - Hope

She used to stare in disbelief when she saw girls her age cooing over buggies and rattles and baby clothes, now she's the one being stared at.

#45 - Eclipse

They had a picnic on the roof because Andie had never seen one before and confessed she'd always wanted to, but suffice to say, neither of them noticed when it actually happened.

#46 - Gravity

He makes her so happy that sometimes, it's the only thing that stops her from floating off into the clouds.

#47 - Highway

Getting a Muggle car would have been a waste of good money, because it would have inevitably spent more time pulled over in a secluded spot somewhere than actually being driven.

#48 - Unknown

Some people looking in from the outside say that they don't see how Andie and Amos have a shot at lasting, not when they're both so young and so foolish and so utterly insensible, when really, said outsiders should be asking them for relationship advice.

#49 - Lock

If he could have everything his way he'd keep her locked away with him forever, and he's pretty sure that doesn't make him crazy; if people knew her like he did, they'd be thinking the same thing.

#50 - Breathe

He could kiss her as softly as if she might break, as roughly as if he was hoping to hurt her, or as if kissing her would draw the life from her body; but it really didn't matter what way he did it, the ending result was always the same.
